I can’t say enough great things about MATLAB. It’s super powerful, can make some awesome plots with minimal effort, and it’s a great way to start learning programming.

Many engineering programs now require MATLAB for the programming course instead of C++ or Java.

The MATLAB Struggle Is Real

Although MATLAB is great to use, a lot of students struggle with it.

I have taught MATLAB for many years and the main issue with learning it is figuring out how to approach a problem.

Programming requires a new way of thinking. A logical way that students aren’t used to using. This is especially true when it comes to looping techniques.

I created this course to help my students in my MATLAB class. I thought it would be helpful if they could go home and review lectures and then quiz themselves.

It’s helped many of my students so it might just help you too!

The course contains on demand video lectures of all the topics (see below). In addition, you get example problems to work through with me as we go through the lecture material.

Once we finish a couple of topics, you’ll get a quiz problem. Use these to test your knowledge. Can’t figure out the quiz? You can check out the video solution.

On top of all that I have longer exams you can work through. These are old exams I have given previously in class. Video solutions are provided for these as well.

What sets this course apart from many others is the complexity of the examples, quizzes, and exams.

As the course goes along the problems get more detailed and combine more MATLAB concepts. I also through in some cool math and engineering applications since this course is geared towards engineering students.
