Fluid Mechanics Online Course
What is Fluid Mechanics?
Fluids is one of the courses that is fundamental for majors such as mechanical, aerospace, and civil engineering. Aerospace majors typically take an aerodynamics course in place of fluids but the basic concepts remain the same.
This course is very mathematical, especially if you have an instructor that loves going on and on about theory. This math aspect is one of the things that makes this course hard. Without a clear, concise professor it’s very easy to feel clueless very quickly.
Is Fluid Mechanics Important for Engineers?
Fluids is one of the most important classes for mechanical, aerospace, civil, ocean and other types of engineers. It is closely related to Thermodynamics and is used in countless applications. Airplane designers apply concepts from fluids when dealing with aerodynamics. Bridge designers have to understand the mechanics of flowing water and the effects on bridge supports. HVAC companies are concerned with the flow of air through duct systems. The possibilities of applying this knowledge are endless.
Fluid Mechanics Online
If you’re one of the many feeling completely frustrated with Fluid Mechanics or if you need a review for the FE exam, this class is for you! I created this course to supplement the class I teach on campus. It has all the lectures and examples I typically cover over a summer semester. Short, on demand videos let you determine which topics to cover and when. We’ll also work through examples for each topic, and not just super simple examples either. I give you examples in a variety of difficulty levels.
